Chattanooga Police officers responded at 8:40 p.m. on Wednesday to 6574 East Brainerd Road at the Hamilton Pointe Apartments on a person shot.
Upon arrival, officers located the victim suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his right leg. The victim was transported to a local area hospital by Hamilton County EMS. He advised he was engaged in a verbal argument with the suspect before being shot.
The Chattanooga Police Department's Major Crimes Division is actively investigating the incident.
