Emily’s List of Weekend Activities – October 5, 2018

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — There’s a lot to do in Chattanooga and in nearby cities this weekend.

The 3 Sisters Bluegrass Festival is underway now at Ross’s Landing.

The free festival features some of the biggest names in bluegrass music.

You still have time to catch Della Mae at 8:10 p.m., and the Infamous Stringdusters at 9:30 p.m., Friday.

The next show then starts at 12 p.m., Saturday.

If wine is more your taste, the 24th annual Wine Over Water event is happening Saturday night.

Get a breathtaking view of the Scenic City from the Walnut Street Bridge, while sampling wines from more than 100 wineries.

The event is happening from 5 to 8 p.m.

If you’re looking for something to do with the whole family, the Autumn Children’s Festival is happening at the Tennessee Riverpark all weekend long.

It’s a fundraiser for Ronald McDonald House Charities.

This year, you’ll get to see Star Wars characters, princesses, a petting zoo, and more.

The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Since we’re a few days into October now, it’s time to celebrate Oktoberfest in Ooltewah.

Head over to Cambridge Square Saturday afternoon for some brats, beer, shopping and music.

The event is from 12 to 5 p.m.

You’ll be able to experience more than just the German culture on Sunday at the 19th annual CultureFest event.

There, you’ll be able to check out food, art, dance, and music from a variety of cultures.

The festival is happening from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the First Tennessee Pavilion.
