Emily’s List of Weekend Activities – November 9, 2018

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — There’s a lot to do in Chattanooga and in nearby cities this weekend.

If you like the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, get ready for a battle of the bands on Friday night.

The Signal is hosting Beatles versus Stones – A Musical Showdown.

Two tribute groups will be facing off with music from two of the greatest bands of all time.

The show starts at 8:30 p.m.

Who says it’s too early to start decorating for the holidays?

The 30th annual Gingerbread Shoppe Craft Show will make it easier for you to do that on Saturday.

There, you can shop handmade crafts like holiday decorations, Christmas ornaments, jewelry, baked goods and more.

It’s all happening from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church.

Beer fans will want to check out the Downtown Dalton Brewers Festival, Saturday.

There, you can enjoy unlimited samples of craft beers, and enjoy live music. There will be food vendors, as well.

The festival is happening from 4 to 8 p.m. at Burr Performing Arts Park.

You can support the Junior League of Chattanooga on Saturday, and bring your kids to their Touch-A-Truck event.

Children can climb and touch more than 20 trucks of all kinds, like emergency response vehicles, and heavy machinery.

The event is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Warner Park.

Sunday is Veteran’s Day, and a great way to honor military service members is through music.

You can check out the Chattanooga Symphony & Opera, as they perform some patriotic favorites like the Armed Forces Salute, and God Bless America that day.

The show starts at 4 p.m. at Memorial Auditorium.
