Joseph Kermit Hicks, 80, a resident of Hixson, passed away on November 18, 2018, surrounded by his family.
Kermit was a skilled and hard worker but most of all, he loved and cherished his family every day of his life. He was truly a family man.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frankie Bell and Joseph Winston Hicks; eight brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Ms. Carol Harvey Hicks; children, Kermit Lynn (Becky) Hicks, Teresa (Bobby) Eaves, Kathy Yvonne Hanieh; grandchildren, Vinny Hurst, Alaina Thomas, Maura Hicks and Savanna Hurst; several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga and/or Humane Educational Society.
