Woman, 24, Shot While Walking On W. 38th Street

A 24-year-old woman was shot while walking on W. 38th Street early Monday morning.

At approximately 12:28 a.m., Chattanooga Police were dispatched to the area of 3800 Dorris St. on a person shot. 

Upon arrival, police found that the victim had already been transported to an area hospital by personal vehicle.

Police secured the scene and called for the Major Crimes Unit to respond.

Investigators made contact with the victim at the hospital. She said she had been walking in the area of 200 West 38th St. when she was shot.
