Three shooting investigations launched in last 24 hours in Chattanooga

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police have launched 3 separate shooting investigations in the last 24 hours.

The latest was on Wimberly Drive around 3:00 pm Christmas Day.

One person was shot and transported to the hospital.

No word yet on the extent of this person’s injuries.

Both Chattanooga Police and the Tennessee Highway Patrol were on scene.

There were two separate scenes believed to be connected.

At the second scene, off Nautical Way, there was a car with police tape around it.

There was also a car with a broken window.

Just before 1:30 this morning, Chattanooga Police officers responded to Parkridge Hospital on McCallie Avenue.

Where a gunshot victim who had arrived by personal vehicle.

This person is expected to be okay.

The location of the shooting incident is still unknown at this time.

The third investigation is from Christmas Eve around 11:40 pm.

Police say they found a victim Ave in the roadway on Wheeler with a gunshot wound.

The 25 year old is expected to recover from his injuries.
