Home On Fairview Road Suffers Damages From Fallen Tree

  • Saturday, May 5, 2018

A home was damaged by a fallen tree Saturday evening.

At approximately 7:26 p.m. the Chattanooga Fire Department crews were called to 6405 Fairview Road on a reported fallen tree into an occupied house.

It was initially reported that no one was injured when the tree fell into the house.

Chattanooga Fire Department crews arrived on scene to assess the damages and the safety of the occupants, confirming that no one had been injured in the incident. The fallen tree rested on the house with about a two-foot intrusion into the second floor of the structure with no threat of causing further damage.

Chattanooga Fire Department crews used plastic tarps to cover and protect the resident's personal belongings in the house from damage due to the forecast of more rain.

The scene was turned back over to the residents once the structure was deemed secure.
