A Signal Mountain couple who had been burglarized several times help nab the alleged culprits after installing cameras at their E. Brow Road home.

Charged with aggravated burglary and theft over $5,000 were Lydia Hope Carter and Lucas Nakia Brown, both of Marion County.

The owner said trail cameras he installed caught thieves breaking into his garage by breaking a window. There were several images captured of three people inside the garage.

One was a heavy-set white female with a distinctive tattoo on her right arm.

There was also a dark-headed skinny man with a distinctive tattoo around his neck that came to a point on each side of his neck.

The third person was a younger person with longer hair and a hat on backwards.

They were driving a white Hyundai Sonata.

The couple put the images on Facebook and got several responses, identifying Ms. Carter, Brown and the younger person.

Marion County officers also picked out the suspects from the videos.

The car was found to belong to Daniel Evil K. Slatton of 218 Cherry Dr., Whitwell. He said he let Ms. Carter and Brown borrow the car.

He said when they returned they tried to sell him several guns taken from a safe in the garage. He said he told them to get out of his yard with the stolen guns.

He said he later drove Brown to Black Mountain Road in Sequatchie County where the guns were traded for a van.

When Ms. Carter was questioned, she said she would try to get some of the stolen items back for the couple. She said she still had their checkbook.
