Harrison Man Suffers Serious Burns In House Fire Thursday Afternoon

A Harrison man suffered severe burns in a house fire Thursday afternoon.

At 12:45 p.m., a neighbor called 911 reporting a house fire at 7618 Walnut Hills Drive (Highway 58 area).

The Highway 58 Volunteer Fire Department responded and reported heavy smoke and fire pouring out from the front bedroom window. Firefighters conducted an interior attack and found the man suffering from severe burns. HCEMS was on the scene and transported the patient to Erlanger Medical Center. No other injuries were reported.

Due to the extremely hot temperatures, a Mutual Aid response was requested for additional manpower. The Tri-Community VFD responded to the scene. The East Ridge FD staged in the Harrison/Highway 58 area for any additional emergency calls.

The  cause of the fire is undetermined at this time.

Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office was on the scene with the Highway 58 VFD to determine the cause of the fire.

Damages are listed at $50,000.
