Emily’s List of Weekend Activities – July 14, 2018

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — There’s a lot to do in Chattanooga and in nearby cities this weekend.

The 12th annual Riverfront Nights Summer Concert Series kicks off Saturday night.

Head over to Ross’s Landing to see the groups, Campbell Station, and Muscadine Bloodline perform on Chattanooga’s waterfront.

The first show starts at 7 p.m.

If you’re looking for something more low-key to do to bring the kids, Movies in the Park is also happening Saturday night.

You can watch one of the newer Disney movies, Moana, on the big screen at Coolidge Park, under the stars.

The movie starts at 9 p.m.

If you’d rather be up on your feet, head over to Nashville for some Big Band dance lessons.

This free event features live music from Debbie Bailes and her Band, plus two group dance lessons, where you’ll learn the Foxtrot.

The dancing fun starts at 7 p.m. Central Time at Centennial Park.

Foodies will want to head to Atlanta on Sunday for the 10th annual Attack of the Killer Tomato Festival.

The south’s top chefs, mixologists, and farmers will team up to create tomato-based treats, to support the non-profit, Georgia Organics.

The event is happening from 1 to 5 p.m., Sunday, at the Westside Provisions District.
