Man Shot Along Riverwalk Downtown Identified As Kenyon Thomas, 30

A man was shot along the Tennessee Riverpark on Monday afternoon. He was identified as Kenyon Thomas, 30.

It happened downtown near an amphitheater where the Riverfront Parkway passes near the Walnut Street Bridge.

The victim was not seriously hurt.

The shooter fled the scene.

A witness told police that a man approached the victim, started a verbal disorder, shot the victim, then fled the area.
