CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — There’s a lot to do in Chattanooga and in nearby cities this weekend.

If you’re a fan of the movie, Shrek, you’ll want to check out a live-action version of the film at the Signal Mountain Playhouse.

Shows will be held Friday and Saturday nights throughout July.

The play starts at 8 p.m.

If you didn’t get enough fireworks on the Fourth of July, you’ll want to head over to Shake the Lake on Saturday in Spring City.

It’s the city’s annual Independence Day celebration at Veteran’s Park.

Activities will be happening all day, including music, vendors, food, and of course fireworks after dark.

It all starts at 9 a.m., Saturday.

Singer Sam Smith will be stopping in Nashville Saturday night for his Thrill of It All Tour.

Country music singer, Cam, who performed at the Riverbend Festival last month, will also be opening for him.

You can get a free copy of Smith’s new album with any tickets you buy online.

The show starts at 8 p.m. Central Time at the Bridgestone Arena.

If you’d rather check out a rock n’ roll show, the band, Foreigner, will be in Alpharetta, Georgia Saturday night for their Juke Box Heroes Tour.

Special guests Whitesnake, and Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening will also be performing.

The show starts at 7 p.m. at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre.

You won’t have to go far on Sunday to check out some of the Scenic City’s emerging musicians.

They’ll be playing sets for Guitar Chattanooga at the First Tennessee Pavilion.

If you’re at the Chattanooga Market, you can’t miss them.

Steve Brehm, Jimmy Dormire, and the Chattanooga Youth Guitar Orchestra are just some of the performers.

It’s all happening from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday.
