Stabbing on Peeples Street

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – Shortly after midnight on Saturday, Chattanooga Police responded to a stabbing at 1000 Peeples Street.

Upon arrival, officers located Raymond Hill, 48, suffering from multiple stab wounds.

Hamilton County EMS transported the victim to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Officers located a suspect, David Oliphant, 58, nearby and covered in blood, as well as a knife on his person also covered in blood.

Investigators with the Violent Crimes Bureau responded to the scene and arrested Oliphant, charging him with Attempted Murder and Aggravated Assault.
