Kelvin Crayton, 27, Shot And Killed On Bradt Street; 2 Arrested

Kelvin Crayton, 27, and Jatoni Crayton, 31, were shot on Bradt Street on Friday. Kelvin Crayton later died.

 

Montrell Williams, 23, and Sherquilla Hubbard, 24, were arrested.

 

Officers with the Chattanooga Police Department responded at approximately 6:31 p.m. to the 1500 block of Bradt Street on reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located one male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest and another male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the back.

 

 

Hamilton County EMS responded to the scene and transported the victims to a local hospital. The man shot in the chest, identified as Kelvin Crayton, succumbed to his injuries. The man shot in the back, identified as Jatoni Crayton, suffered a non-life threatening injury. 

 

On Saturday, the Chattanooga Police Department obtained warrants for two suspects. 

 

 Montrell Williams, 23, was charged with criminal homicide, attempted first-degree murder, and unlawful possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony. Sherquilla Hubbard, 24, was charged with criminal homicide and attempted first-degree murder. Both have been arrested and are in police custody.
