Jeffery Miller, 54, Shot On Rawlings Street Early Sunday Morning

Jeffery Miller, 54, was shot early Sunday morning on Rawlings Street.

 

Chattanooga Police responded at approximately 1:03 a.m.  to the 2000 block of Rawlings Street on reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, police were unable to locate anyone injured in the area, but did locate several spent shell casings in the area.

 

At approximately 1:45 a.m., police were advised a victim suffering from a gunshot wound had arrived at a local hospital by way of personal vehicle. Police responded to the hospital and located Miller with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the shoulder. He told police he was sitting in his vehicle and heard several gunshots. He stated he discovered he had been shot in the shoulder and left the area before going to the hospital.

 

Investigators with the Violent Crimes Bureau and Crime Scene Unit responded to the scene. Members of the Violent Crimes Bureau are actively investigating this incident.
