2 Men Stabbed Wednesday Night On Clayton Avenue

Two men were stabbed Wednesday evening, one with life-threatening injuries.

Chattanooga police officers responded at approximately 10:04 p.m. Wednesday to the 3400 block of Clayton Avenue to reports of a stabbing.

When police arrived, several witnesses told officers that two people were stabbed and transported by personal vehicle to a local hospital.

Jessie Whitefield, 38, suffered life-threatening injuries and is listed in critical condition. Phillip Whitefield, 34, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
