Larry Maddox, 46, Arrested For Bank Robbery On Wednesday

Larry Maddox, 46, was arrested for a bank robbery on Wednesday.

Chattanooga Police arrested Maddox, who robbed the First Tennessee Bank at 5526 Brainerd Road on Wednesday at approximately 12:57 p.m.

A bank employee called to report the robbery, and when police arrived on the scene, Maddox had already fled in a vehicle. A county-wide BOLO was issued for a Chevy pick-up truck. Officers in the 4000 block of 10th Avenue observed a vehicle fitting the description and attempted to execute a traffic stop. The driver of the pick-up crashed at 3600 Dodds Ave. and was taken into custody.

CPD Robbery investigators along with FBI agents interviewed Maddox, who confessed to robbing the bank. Maddox is charged with robbery and is in custody at the Hamilton County Jail. He was not injured in the crash.
