Brainerd High students sent to hospital

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) Chattanooga Police are investigating what caused several students to get at Brainerd High School Wednesday morning.

Four of them were taken to the hospital by ambulance and another by a parent.

School officials suspect “some type of substance they ingested.

Chief Roddy says “At this time, it doesn’t look like what you would typically experience as an overdose.”

The school was on lockdown while officials determined if there was some kind of environmental threat.

They didn’t find anything.

So students were sent home early.

Officials say there is no current issue at the school.
