A manager at Family Dollar on Highway 58 said a man has come in and out of the store on three occasions. Each time he comes in empty handed, removes items from the shelves, and then runs out of the store. They followed him once around the back of the building. Another time they watched him run across the street. They are unsure if there is a vehicle waiting for him or not. The last time was 30 minutes before closing when they noticed him entering the store and figured he was going to rob them. The manager told the cashiers to drop all of their cash into the deposit box. A few minutes later, the suspect had grabbed an item and placed it in his bag. He waited near the front until it was clear, then he ran out of the store. The manager provided an officer with a picture of the suspect. He forwarded the picture to property crimes to see if they were able to recognize him.

Andrew Chivers said he parked his 2003 Chevy Malibu in front of a barber shop on Brainerd Road. At about 8 p.m. he came out of the barber shop and his vehicle was gone. Mr. Chivers said he accidentally left the keys in the vehicle, but he thought that he locked his doors

A woman said she lost control of her vehicle and drove through the landscaping of the Taco Bell on East Brainerd Road. The manager of Taco Bell said he heard a loud crash and noticed a vehicle had driven through one of the small trees surrounding the company's parking lot.

A man said while he was getting his vehicle worked on a heavy set female took his wallet off the counter while he was paying. He said his credit card was being used at the Wendy's on Rossville right after it was stolen, as well as a withdrawal of $105 at the Mapco on Lee Highway. He said $55 in cash as well as his Social Security card were also in his wallet.

Police answered a theft call at the Elks Building, 123 E 7th St. The building is currently under construction with renovations being done on multiple floors. Upon arrival, police spoke with the supervisor over the project. He said multiple sheets of tin were sitting in front of the building and were stolen sometime over the weekend. The metal sheets were in an area that was cordoned off by plastic fencing (they were not within the building). It appeared the suspect pulled down the fencing and, presumably, loaded the sheet metal on some type of vehicle. He valued the sheet metal at around $1,000.

A man said he was in the area of East Main Street and lost a yellow diamond ring with white and yellow gold band. He said he was at a restaurant and at Allen Gold's on McCallie Avenue that night. He said he did not realize he had lost the ring until the next morning when he noticed it was not on his finger. He said the ring appraised for $4,800 recently.

A customer at the Brainerd Walmart said, while either in the store or nearby, she lost her small tan Michael Cors purse and its contents. She said the wallet contained $380 cash, Social Security cards, health insurance cards, a First Tennessee checkbook and a VISA debit card.

A woman on Taylor Street said she wanted to report that her boyfriend disabled her power. She said they were in a verbal disorder, which led to him leaving the home. Shortly after leaving she noticed that she lost all power to the home.

An officer at Cannon Avenue spoke to the victim, who said around 5:15 a.m. his son went outside to start the car so that it was warm when they left. He said 15 minutes later they went outside to leave only to find that the car had been stolen out of the driveway. The 2008 Red Grand Prix was entered into NCIC.

On Mountain Creek Road, an officer spoke with the owner of an Air Stream trailer. He said that he keeps his trailer stored at Cube Smart and checks on it often. He said that someone damaged the custom made entry door to his trailer to the point that it will not even open. He said that it appears the damage was deliberate and thinks possibly someone tried to break into it but failed. He said he will have to take the trailer to Air Stream in Ohio to be repaired and it will cost up to $4,000.

A man said after he parked his vehicle behind SuperFly it was broken into. His driver's side window was broken out and multiple items stolen from within the vehicle. These included a football, clothes, a Fuji camera, and multiple gift cards exceeding $1,000. The total value of all items and property damaged was over $2,000

A man said he walked out of Petco on Gunbarrel Road and got into his maroon truck. He began to leave the parking lot. He then decided to get out of his vehicle and get his hitch from the back. He stepped out of his truck and got the hitch then got back into his vehicle and left the scene. After a few hours, he realized that he did not have his wallet and he remembered that he laid it in his lap when he got into his vehicle from Petco. He then drove back to the area and searched the area where he got out of his truck and was unable to find the wallet. He had $400 to $500 in the wallet.

A woman said she arrived at a local work out gym around 9 p.m. and when she was about to leave around 10 p.m. she discovered that her vehicle had been broken into. The suspects broke the passenger side glass of her vehicle and stole her purse. The purse itself had around $500 cash inside of it along with multiple debit/credit cards. The purse also had three SSN cards inside of it as well as a ring worth around $5,000.

A resident of Stuart Terrace said early in the morning a silver 90's GMC Sierra pickup stopped in front of his house for a brief time. He said he did not think much of it at the time, but, as he was leaving for work, he checked his mailbox and discovered that the person in the truck had stolen mail he had put out the night before. He said that the mail was to go to Ancestry.com and was a test tube with his DNA sample. The kit cost $100.
