Group honors Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with parade and program

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Unity Group of Chattanooga wrapped up the 49th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday Week Celebration on Monday with a parade and program.

The cold didn’t stop several people from gathering at Peeples Street and MLKing Blvd.

That’s where the parade started.

The group marched together to the Tivoli Theatre.

After the parade, there was a program at the theater where there was music and speakers, including the keynote speaker, Dr. Lance Watson, pastor of St. Paul’s Baptist Church of Richmond, Va.
