Chattanooga fire displaces adult, and child

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – A Chattanooga fire Wednesday night leaves an adult, and child homeless. No one got injured during the blaze.

But one adult, and one child need to find another to place to stay, for now.

The fire broke out around 6:45 Wednesday evening at 514 Biltmore Drive.

It took fire crews about 5 minutes to get the flames under control.

Firefighters located the fire in a bedroom, and kept the damage to that room.

The rest of the house had smoke damage.

The American Red Cross got called in to help the residents.

The cause is under investigation.
