Chattanooga Police investigate two separate shootings

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police are investigating two separate shootings that happened Saturday night.

Officers responded to 2500 South Orchard Knob Avenue at around 10:39 p.m. for shots fired reports.

Police said that while they were on the scene they got word that a 28-year-old man with a non life-threatening gunshot wound arrived at a local hospital.

The victim told detectives that he was walking in the South Orchard Knob area when he was shot.

He also told police that he was given a ride to the hospital.

Earlier in the night, at around 9:10 p.m. police responded to Parkridge Hospital on a report of a gunshot victim.

Police said a 30-year-old man was in the emergency room with a non life-threatening gunshot wound.

The man told police that he was walking on South Holly Street when he was shot.

He said he drove himself to the hospital.

Both shootings are under investigation.
