Form Based Code Committee Again Cancels Meeting

  • Thursday, October 10, 2019

Chattanooga's Form Based Code Committee for the second time in a row has cancelled its monthly meeting.

Emily Dixon, who handles the FBC matters, said only three members showed up and five members out of nine are needed for a quorum.

The meeting was delayed for 30 minutes, but still only three members were present.

Ms. Dixon said one member "did have a true emergency."

The committee cancelled last month's meeting because of the City's water crisis at the time.

Ms. Dixon said attempts will be made to reschedule the meeting in about a week.

A number of developers were at the meeting needing approvals to proceed with planned projects.

One of those is a 52-unit condo project at 899 Cherokee Blvd. where Nikki's Drive Inn has long been located.
