Kenneth Key
Police have charged 18-year-old Kenneth Edward Key with an aggravated robbery at the Econo Lodge on Browns Ferry Road in Lookout Valley.
Police said Veronica Hill is also being charged in the case.
In the incident last Tuesday, the hotel manager said the couple had booked a room at the hotel. They returned later to ask for a refund. The manager said he told them he had taken the purchase off their credit card, and he showed them the transaction.
However, he said Key kept demanding his money back. He said when he told Key that the needed to leave and he was calling police that Key pulled out a gun. He and Ms. Hill then went behind the counter and Key got $126 out of the register, it was stated.
The manager said the room was rented in the name of Veronica Hill. He was shown a photo and identified it as Ms. Hill.
Police got a lead that Key, of 1507 Hickory Valley Road, was the male involved. The manager was shown his photo and he made a positive identification.
