A house on Mowbray Mountain suffered extensive fire damage on Tuesday night.
Around 5 p.m., Te Mowbray Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a reported residential house fire at 715 Mowbray Pike.
Units responded within minutes of getting the alarm and were on scene in less than five minutes.
The first arriving unit found and reported smoke showing from the home and requested the first engine on the scene to make a quick attack on what appeared to be a fire in the kitchen.
Firefighters made an aggressive interior attack knocking the fire down and bringing it under control quickly, Lt.
Nick Wilson said.
The homeowners were at home at the time of the fire and escaped without injury. The home suffered very heavy smoke and heat damage estimated around $60,000-$70,000 loss in property and structural damage.
Mowbray Fire Department received Mutual Aid assistance from Dallas Bay VFD and Hamilton County Marine Rescue Rehab.
