Jeormynieka Davis was charged with aggravated robbery after police said she drove the “getaway” car during a robbery that involved the victim being pistol-whipped.

Police said on Sept. 27, the 21-year-old Ms. Davis drove two men around the neighborhood on Williams Street. The victim and her husband, leaving a hotel, said a silver PT Cruiser with some amount of damage drove behind them and began to flash their high-beams at the victim’s car.

The couple stopped their car. When they did so, two males exited the PT Cruiser and approached the victim’s car. One of the suspects allegedly held a gun and opened the victim’s door. When she refused his demand to give him her belongings, he struck the victim with the gun several times.

According to the police report, the suspect took her purse, cellphone, passport, keys, ID, wallet, and about $100. After this, the victim observed a black female driving the PT Cruiser and the two suspects away from the scene.

When police arrived, the victim’s injuries were noted, but the victim refused medical attention.

A few hours later, police located the suspected vehicle on 2500 6th Ave. Ms. Davis, the owner of the PT Cruiser, said she was with her baby’s father Eric Jordan and her friend (referred to as “B”) on the night of the robbery, and did not partake in the holdup.

Ms. Davis said the trio were at Sunshine Mart on Rossville Boulevard and then joyrode around the town afterward. Surveillance footage from the Sunshine Mart showed the silver PT Cruiser and Eric Jordan present and wearing the clothing he was described to be wearing by the victims. This footage came from about half an hour before the alleged robbery.

Surveillance footage from the hotel parking lot showed Eric Jordan, wearing the same clothing as the other video, walking around the hotel lot minutes before the alleged robbery. When police searched the suspect’s vehicle, a bank statement for Eric Jordan and a receipt from a store in Oregon were found. The victims were in Oregon the prior week.

Ms. Davis was arrested on charges of aggravated robbery and vandalism/malicious mischief last Friday. She will appear in Judge Christi Sell’s courtroom on Friday.
