Replacing Glass Panels On Holmberg Bridge Winds Up Costing $519,043

  • Saturday, February 2, 2019

Replacing the glass panels on the Holmberg Bridge wound up costing the city $519,043.

The span connecting the Walnut Street Bridge to the Hunter Museum originally featured glass panels that were illuminated at night.

However, the panels would often crack and it cost several thousand dollars to replace each one.

It was finally decided to install aluminum panels instead and that work has been completed.

The work was performed by Ross Glass and Aluminum.

A contingency amount of $20,914 was set aside, but was not used.
