Police Escort for fallen officer Nicholas Galinger

CHATTANOOGA, TN – (Chattanooga Police Dept.) On Wednesday, February 27, 2019 the Chattanooga Police Department will begin the escort of Officer Nicholas Galinger from Chattanooga, TN to Cincinnati, OH.

The Chattanooga Police Department Motor Unit will lead the escort from Heritage Funeral Home located on 7454 E. Brainerd Rd. starting at approximately 9:00 a.m. The CPD Motor Unit and the Tennessee Highway Patrol will escort Ofc. Galinger to Knoxville where the Knoxville Police Department will take over the escort. Chattanooga Police Officers will line the route from the funeral home by standing on sidewalks on both sides of East Brainerd Rd to Interstate 75 North.

Just prior to departure, East Brainerd Rd. traffic between North Joiner Rd. and Gunbarrel Rd. will be stopped. The stoppage is not expected to last more than 15 minutes.
