The man who robbed the BB&T Bank at 2120 Gunbarrel Road on Jan. 7 has been identified and is in custody, police said.
Chattanooga Police Department robbery Investigators along with FBI agents were able to identify the suspect from video surveillance footage and eye witness testimony.
The suspect was identified as Edward Jack Gibbs, 49.
It occurred at 1:42 p.m.
The Nashville Police Department advised they have him in custody on outstanding Federal probation violation warrants. The Chattanooga Police Department's investigation is ongoing. Charges are pending.
