Emily’s List of Weekend Activities – February 8, 2019

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — There’s a lot to do in Chattanooga, and in nearby cities this weekend.

If you love Disney movies and music, you’ll want to be at the Tivoli Theatre Friday night to see DCappella.

The new a cappella group features seven vocalists, who will perform modern versions of many Disney hits.

The show starts at 8 p.m.

Nothing says romance like dancing.

Grab your sweetheart, and head over to Brainerd United Methodist Church on Friday night to learn how to waltz.

The lesson is followed by a two-hour ballroom dance social.

The fun starts at 7:30 p.m.

On Saturday night, you can head down to Atlanta to see the Hawks take on the Charlotte Hornets in basketball.

The game starts at 7:30 p.m. at the State Farm Arena.

You can also celebrate the Chinese New Year in Atlanta this weekend.

There’s a festival happening both Saturday and Sunday, where you check out a lion and dragon dance, art and culture exhibitions, plus authentic market food.

The event is taking place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days at 5377 New Peachtree Road.
