Jerriod
A Chattanooga man is facing federal charges for selling cocaine and being a felon in possession of a gun.
Arrested was Jerriod Ray Sivels, 29.
Agents said last November, a confidential source placed a call to Sivels and arranged to buy cocaine. The source was provided with $4,400 in DEA funds to make the controlled buy.
Agents said they watched Sivels leave his residence at 207 Gillespie Terrace in his orange Dodge Challenger. Agents said they could not keep up with Sivels due to him driving erratically and at a high rate of speed.
Agents said Sivels met with the source, took the $4,400, and gave him a bag of cocaine. The source said he realized he had only been given three ounces of cocaine. A third party then delivered an additional ounce of cocaine, saying he had gotten it from Sivels.
Agents said they had surveillance on Sivels on March 3 at 3505 Hoyt St. He was seen leaving in a white Infiniti. He was stopped as he approached the gated entrance to the Parc 1346 apartment complex on Gunbarrel Road.
Agents said Sivels was found with a 9 mm Taurus handgun. It was loaded with one round in the chamber.
