Man, 50, Shot In Road Rage Incident On Bailey Avenue; Christopher Bell, 29, Wanted For Attempted Criminal Homicide

A man, 50, was shot on Bailey Avenue on Thursday afternoon, and Christopher Bell, 29, is wanted for criminal attempted homicide.

At approximately 3:20 p.m. Chattanooga Police were dispatched to a person shot call at 1050 Bailey Ave. 

Upon arrival, officers located a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The man stated to police that he and the suspect were involved in a vehicle accident in a parking lot prior to the shooting.

The suspect followed the victim out of the parking lot and shot him while both were traveling in the 1000 block of Bailey Avenue.

The suspect then fled.

The victim was transported to a local hospital via Hamilton County EMS.

Police blocked off Bailey Avenue from National Avenue to the overpass as the incident was being investigated.

The suspect was positively identified as Christopher Bell as the suspect, and warrants have been issued for attempted criminal homicide and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
