Man, 22, Injured In 30-Foot Fall At Sunset Rock On Lookout Mountain

A 22-year-old climber was injured in a fall from Sunset Rock on Lookout Mountain on Tuesday afternoon, authorities said

He was taken to Erlanger Hospital and was initially listed in critical condition.

Authorities said he fell about 30 feet.

Cave and Cliff Rescue squads were asked to respond to the high fall at 405 W. Brow Road. Lookout Mountain, Ga., personnel also responded as well as officers from Lookout Mountain, Tn.

The climber is a volunteer firefighter with Tri Community Volunteer Fire Department.
