Man fatally shot on Portland Street in East Chattanooga

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police have arrested and charged the suspect wanted in the connection to the deadly shooting that happened early Monday morning.

20-year-old, Jeremy Sutton has been charged with criminal homicide.

It happened just after midnight in the 2000 block of Portland Street.

Police found the body of 35 year old Douglas Holmes with multiple gunshot wounds.

Sutton is being held at Hamilton County Jail on a 1.5 million bond, according to HCSO records.
