New Marker Unveiled At Signal Mountain To Honor Charles Coolidge

A new road marker was unveiled at Signal Mountain on Saturday to honor Charles Coolidge, Congressional Medal of Honor recipient.

He is already honored by Coolidge Park as well as Coolidge Highway.

The marker was unveiled by the town of Signal Mountain and the Signal Mountain Veterans Group.

Sgt. Coolidge last week turned 98 and is the oldest living Congressional Medal of Honor recipient.

A gathering was held at the town hall with John Coolidge, one of his sons, as speaker.
