Police Charge Topacio With Breaking Into East Ridge Home, Later Stealing Car Using Spare Key

East Ridge Police have charged Michael Topacio with breaking into a home on July 11 and stealing a car from the same address on July 25.

Topacio, 29, of 6207 Wilder Road, Hixson, is charged with theft over $2,500, aggravated burglary and theft.

Police said they identified two suspects in the home burglary, including Topacio. They said the other individual was at a rehab facility when the Nissan Altima was taken.

The homeowner said after the theft of the vehicle he found that his spare car key was missing.

Police said credit cards stolen from the residence were used on the same day as the burglary with items ordered online to be sent to the home of Topacio.
