  • Friday, January 17, 2020

The shooting of a 30-year-old woman in the 800 block of Arlington Avenue on Thursday afternoon has been posted in a Twitter video. Chattanooga Police on Friday arrested Kuchava Moore, 31, for attempted murder.

Police said Ms. Moore and the victim had argued on Facebook and agreed to meet for a physical fight.

Ms. Moore arrived as a passenger in a tan Chevrolet Impala. The vehicle drove by the woman who was ultimately shot. She was standing on the sidewalk as it went by.

After the Impala backed up in front of 850 Arlington, the victim approached the car and pointed at the driveway. Ms. Moore then pointed a gun out the window and began firing. The victim was hit with all three shots, and she fell to the sidewalk.

The Impala continued to back up slowly and then left the area.

The video is titled "This girl just got shot in my hood on Live."

The woman wound up lying on her back on a sidewalk. Her condition was not immediately known. She was alert at the scene.

At approximately 5:44 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a person shot call in the 800 block of Arlington Avenue.

Upon arrival, police located a person with non-life threatening gunshot wounds lying in the road. She was taken to a hospital by Hamilton County EMS.

Police said, "Based on preliminary investigation, CPD homicide Investigators believe the victim was the intended target."

Suspect(s) fled the scene in a vehicle prior to police arrival.

Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call 423-698-2525 or submit a tip via the CPD Mobile App. You can remain anonymous.

The video shows the woman continually yelling "C'mon. C'mon." Then a brown car backs up near her and several shots are fired.
