Indugu Abdul-Hakim is facing aggravated assault charges after police said he used a brick to attack a man.
Police responded to an aggravated assault call on Wednesday morning and headed to Parkridge Hospital. According to the victim, he had been walking down Dodson Avenue when he was approached by Indugu Abdul-Hakim, 63.
Abdul-Hakim allegedly told the victim, “You know I don’t want you on this block” and twice struck the victim on the head with a brick. According to the report, the assault left “abrasions on his nose, left eye, and on top of his head.” After speaking to the victim, the officer went to Dodson Avenue to speak with Abdul-Hakim.
When confronted by police, Abdul-Hakim said, “I didn’t break his nose” before even being told about the extent of the victim’s injuries. After saying this, Abdul-Hakim refused to cooperate with police, and he was arrested for aggravated assault.
