Free Palestine rally held in Coolidge Park

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- The crisis in the Middle East is affecting some people right here in Chattanooga.

Sunday, a group of Chattanoogans rallied in support of Palestinians in Gaza.

Rally attendees say that even though there is a cease fire, this has been an ongoing problem.

News 12 spoke with a man who says that he has seen this violence happening since he was six years old.

Fouad Moughrabi says, “It’s horrible, I mean it’s horrible. I mean, you are tempted to say, ‘I give up, I give up. I just can’t go on’. But, I’m 78 years old. I should be enjoying my retirement, but you can’t, you can’t. You know something happens and you have to act. You have to do something. It’s criminal not to act or not to speak out, you know.”

Today was not just about raising awareness.

There was also information passed out about how change can be made.
