New principals announce in East Ridge, Ooltewah & Harrison Bay

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – The Hamilton County School system announces another round of principal changes for next year.

David Cory will be the new principal at East Ridge Elementary.

He is an assistant at Harrison Elementary and has 20 years of experience in education.

That includes 10 years as a principal in California.

Phillip Greeson will take over at Ooltewah Middle School next year.

He was the principal at Allen Elementary.

Greeson began his career as a counselor with the Chattanooga Schools 26 years ago.

He has worked in several school districts in several positions since then.

Chris James will lead the Harrison Bay Future Ready Center.

He has been the principal of Brainerd High School since 2018.

James launched the school’s Aviation Future Ready Institute and establishing Advanced Placement, State Dual Credit programs, and 30 industry certification opportunities.
