Pet saved during Saturday morning fire
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- Chattanooga firefighters saved a family’s pet during a house fire this morning.
The fire happened in the 1100 block of North Hawthorne Street.

Crews were able to put the fire out within five minutes.
The fire department says that no one was home at the time of the fire and the dog did not have any apparent health issues when it was rescued.
The Red Cross will be assisting one adult and five children.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
