Police Department apart of discussion with students after “The Hate U Give” movie screening for Opportunity Zone students

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Hamilton County Opportunity Zone Schools students will have a chance to see the movie “The Hate U Give” in a special screening Sunday.

The event will be followed by a Q&A on the movie’s theme and dialogue on diversity and inclusion with Chattanooga Police Department officials apart of the discussion.

It will be Sunday, November 4th, at 3 pm at AMC Chattanooga 18, 5080 South Terrace.

The event is open to the students from the Opportunity Zone, including Howard High School, Brainerd High School, and the Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy.

Tickets are limited and required, but organizers do want administrators and other officials to attend.

Currently, the sponsors are Edible Arrangements of Chattanooga, Chicken-w-Bones, Stephanie Sinkfield’s State Farm Agency, and Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce MidTown Council.
