UPDATE: HCSO responds to afternoon shooting

HAMILTON CO. Tenn. (WDEF) – The Hamilton County Sheriffs Office responded to a late afternoon shooting on Mount Tabor road.

A release stated that deputies responded to the 13800 block of Mount Tabor road around 3:45 this afternoon.

After investigation, HCSO deputies arrested Cameron Smith (22) and charged him with aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.

Smith is accused of shooting his great uncle, Tyris Johnson.

Johnson was transported to an area hospital and his condition is currently unknown.

Smith also had an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court.
