Golden Apple: Arianna Gladney

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Arianna Gladney wants to be a role model for her students at Brainerd High School.

That’s why she pushes her kids to succeed, and tries to motivate them to grow.

Addison Harriss is the Freshman Academy Principal at Brainerd High School.

“Miss Gladney is an excellent teacher. She is always attentive to student needs. Kids love to be here. They got technology integrated to the curriculum. She has small group settings; just amazing.”

Gladney says she is compassionate about teaching students, and loves her job.

“I love being a mentor and a leader for these students. And also knowing that with leading you’re gonna follow; you’re gonna learn from others. But I ultimately am here because I want my kids to learn from me.”

Students say she makes learning math fun, and they can tell she really cares about them.

That’s why Arianna Gladney is this week’s Golden Apple Award winner.
