Gloves go up for Grayson

CHATTNAOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The fight to find a cure for one local boy entered the boxing ring.

Thirty-two boxers from all across the southeast fought in the Chattanooga Convention Center — all in effort to raise money for Grayson Ledbetter.

Grayson has Alexander Disease, a neurological disorder, currently with no treatment or cure.

His family hopes this event will help knock out the disease.

“I think it’s pretty neat that it’s boxing, because, you know, Grayson is in his own fight every day so, I’m learning what they’re doing in a ring looks kind of similar to what we’re fighting at home,” Grayson’s mom Laura Ledbetter said.

Ledbetter said they sold 44 tables for the event, which will help raise tens-of-thousands for the charity.
