Homeless man charged with attempted rape of woman in Coolidge Park
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – A man is behind bars, charged with attempted rape in Chattanooga.
Police say they were called to Coolidge Park for this attempted sexual assault that was reported on River Street.
Officials say the victim remembers the suspect, Anthony Hixson , saying “you know you want it” after flirting with him under the Walnut Street Bridge.
A witness identified Anthony Hixson as the man seen on top of a struggling woman.
The victim says a black male managed to pul the suspect off of her before police arrived.
Hixson is being held in the Hamilton County Jail on $50,000 bond.
