Afternoon shooting in Glenwood community

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police are investigating a shooting in the Glenwood community near Memorial Hospital.

It happened around 12:30 PM in the 1200 block of Wheeler Avenue.

A 25 year old male was taken to the hospital with a non life threatening injury.

He told police that he was outside when he heard the shots and ran.

He later realized he had been hit by the gunfire.
