Wilcox Tunnel blocked by downed tree
CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – The storms took a toll on afternoon traffic around Chattanooga.
The wind and soaked ground brought down a tree in front of the Wilcox Boulevard Tunnel on the east side of the ridge.
Crews had to close the tunnel while they cut the tree up.
Chattanooga Police also worked street flooding in several areas.
Here are some of the blocked roads by 3PM (flooding has since gone down).

These are the known flooding locations as of 2:40 PM, however additional roads may incur flooding as area creek levels rise. A FLASH FLOOD WARNING IS IN PLACE.
